Fringefracking is founded on the notion that at some point in the last quarter of a century something has changed.
The world is altered.
People are different.
Reality wobbles, and, most disturbingly, the definition of the word itself is up for debate. No truth is objective, no freedom is sacred, nothing taboo. What you see on social media is carefully-constructed artifice. Many of the usernames with whom you argue the political topic du jour are nothing more than bots programmed to push a particular narrative chosen by those in power, whose names you will never know.
Fringefrackers reject this dystopian hellscape. We bore through the artificial sediment under which the world has been buried, there to hunt for the layers of the world as it used to be, into the soil once baked by the Yellow Sun.
Perhaps the world will never be as it once was. Perhaps the sun will only grow more white, more stark, more hateful as it glances in our tired eyes.
Perhaps, but while we are here we can save that which can be saved, remember what is best to be remembered, and kindle within our hearts little suns of our own.
